November
website unveiling and more. . .
My new website has been begging to be unveiled and today is that day.
Thank you to an incredibly talented friend in the PNW who understood the vision and helped put it all together. The site is very Sophia, was a true pleasure to revamp, and is actually even more beautiful to view on desktop (this brings a happy tear to my eye)! Please enjoy. I’d love your feedback if you have it to share. Whether we are long-term in our connection or you are dipping your toe in for the first time, this is a great place to begin or perhaps discover something you never knew, you never knew. :) I have updated my Amazon wishlist which is full of super practical gifts at this time (help me make them reality.)
There’s so much going on in our world this end of year. The feeling is a collective heaviness that hangs in the air like a thick blanket blocking our vision and stifling us from imagining a better future of what could come next. It’s been a heavy time for many—specificially the most marginalized of Americans. If we share a home city you already know we have been on the front lines here— our neighbors heavily targeted by ICE raids while we feel powerless to do anything about it. I hope daily the madness ends soon for the good of all. What amazes me presently is how powerful it is when people organize and come together as we are doing. Amid ALL the fear and trepidation, neighbors are connecting in ways they’d never had to before, are finding common ground, and are showing up in droves for one another. It’s impossible to drive down any block without seeing ICE OUT signs, neighbors on alert with whistles, adults helping young people safely get to and from school. Chicagoans are gritty. Chicagoans are tough. I couldn’t be more proud to be from here.
November is shaping up to be a busy time and I’d love for you to be part of it. I’m here in sweet home Chicago all month aside from a visit to NYC 11/17-20. My NYC time’s quickly becoming spoken for; be in touch asap to make our calendars kiss. This is my 4th visit to New York this year and I will do my best to keep up with this quarterly pace in 2026. I’m happy to have a reason to return.
Without any set dates at this time, I’m also curious to make a trip to Indianapolis as well as Milwaukee. Won’t you join me in either city? Let’s chat about it: withsophia@pm.me. I have personal connections in both cities but have never offered my time in this context so I am curious to see who is out there.
I had a wonderful first date recently that ended with some gifts of my dreams (ok, a giant Lego botanical set and a hot pink titanium vibrator, big props) as well as an admission of what it meant to this individual to save up… for our date. I’m touched by this admission. I have met with clients who may see multiple providers a week. I have met with clients who may save for months to bask and melt together in a few hours of presence and bliss. Whomever you are and whatever your individual situation, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me and US again and again. This is not unnoticed.
I deeply know the value of a dollar. I understand what it’s like to save (money, yes, but also time, energy, investment, attention…) for a specific event. Fun lore… as a teenager I worked in a Chinese restaurant making $6.25/hourly, saved $800 doing this, and enthusiastically spent it in one night to sit in the front row of Barbra Streisand in concert at the age of 19. (My mom and grandmother both loved her music— for me it was an homage to them as much as to her). I had zero hesitations about this at the time much to the horror of my friends who struggled over paying $50 for concert tickets and knew I would have little remaining after the evening was over. To me it was obvious: I could make more money. This was an event that I would never forget or regret, it was exactly where I wanted my dollars to go, there was no question in my mind. I’m laughing as I share this story, but you understand the point. I know what a build-up feels like and how good that alone can be. Thank you for anticipating, building up, and releasing with me— time and time again. Pure magic.
I spent the month of October in so many cup-filling ways. Cooking with my favorite podcasts in my ears, moving furniture around/chronically nesting, tending to my 20+ house plants, snuggling my pup, digging into the Criterion Collection films, celebrating my 175th (!) yoga class, inviting in more rest, and of course, spending time with lovers who fill up my cup so organically. I will never take this life for granted. Excited to close off the year alongside you. The key is in your hands. Have a beautiful November.
all warmth in all ways.
Sophia
